If it grows in Alabama, odds are someone in the Indian Springs Garden Club (ISGC) knows how to cultivate, harvest, prepare, or eliminate it. Whether you’re a lifelong gardener with a green thumb or just beginning to explore the world of horticulture, this group has something to offer everyone. The ISGC embraces gardeners of all skill levels—whether you have a flourishing garden or are simply dreaming of one.

The Indian Springs Garden Club is deeply rooted in the community, bringing together individuals who share a love for Alabama’s rich and diverse plant life. In addition to sharing knowledge about plant care and gardening techniques, the club offers a wonderful opportunity for members to engage in community service through beautification projects that enhance the charm and greenery of Indian Springs Village. The club actively supports various Village functions and contributes to the upkeep of the public gardens around the Town Hall.

Monthly Meetings

The ISGC holds meetings on the fourth Thursday of each month at the Indian Springs Village Town Hall (except for November and December or when special springtime garden tours are scheduled). Meetings kick off with a casual social gathering at 6:30 p.m., where members can enjoy refreshments, followed by a more formal meeting from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Each meeting includes discussions on a wide range of gardening topics, guest speakers, and the sharing of gardening tips and experiences.

Membership and Dues

Becoming a member of the Indian Springs Garden Club is both affordable and rewarding. Annual dues are just $10.00 per individual or $15.00 per couple, payable in January. These modest dues help support club activities, events, and the continuous education of members on Alabama horticulture.

Community Engagement

The ISGC doesn’t just focus on gardening within the group—it plays an active role in supporting the beautification of Indian Springs Village. From contributing to the upkeep of public spaces to organizing gardening events and tours, the club makes a tangible difference in preserving the beauty and character of the Village. The club is also involved in educational outreach, ensuring that Alabama’s horticultural knowledge is passed on to future generations.
